Many thanks to all of you who came to my open studio on culture night. It was so lovely to see so many familiar faces and to meet new ones too. Thanks to to those of you who placed bids for my artworks that were auctioned as part of Pluid Project, which raised funds for Pieta house.
At the moment, I am busy working on a new body of work, which I will be excited to share with you in October. You can see snippets of it here.
I have also been busy workshop wise.
Culture night on Friday 17th September, saw the launch of Whatever, the bi-annual exhibition of work made by artists under the auspices of the Arts Ability programme, and initiative of County Wexford Arts Department and the HSE, which I am honoured to be one of the lead facilitators. Launched online earlier this year, Whatever, curated by Jenny Haughton and Catherine Bowe, of the Wexford Arts Centre, showcased selected works, an original artist book, and documentary videos. The five videos were made by film maker Terence White and really tell the story of the featured arts ability programme artists. You can see one here of one of the ladies who takes part in the visual art strand, along with yours truly.
For more information about the programme, see https://www.wexfordcoco.ie/arts-and-culture/current-programmes-plans-and-events/arts-ability-programme
Also I am delighted to have been appointed as one of the new panel of role models for the Irish National School Photography Awards and to County Wexford Education board panel of artists, for their Blast initiative.
